There are three main stages to prenatal development; the germinal stage, embryonic stage and fetal stage. This process is largely determined by genetics and is usually fairly similar for the majority of human beings.
The early stages of embryonic development begin with fertilization. The process of fertilization is tightly controlled to ensure that only one sperm fuses with one egg. After fertilization, the zygote undergoes cleavage to form the blastula.
In the embryonic development of humans and other animals, the zygote stage is brief and is followed by cleavage, when the single cell becomes subdivided into smaller cells. Development starts with morula phase, which is an early stage embryo, consisting of cells (called as blastomeres) in a solid ball contained within the zona pellucida, which is followed by blastula (is a hollow sphere of cells, referred to as blastomeres, surrounding an inner fluid-filled cavity, called as the blastocoel).
cotyl, and the beginning of the development of the radicle. These processes continue through the torpedo and plantlet stages, and by ~2.5 to 3 weeks after induction, plantlets can be identified that contain green cotyledons, elongated hypocotyls, and developed radicles with clearly differentiated root hairs.
Apr 15, 2020 · Embryonic stage - From the 2nd-week post-fertilization to the 8th week of development. Fetal stage - From around 9 weeks after fertilization and ends with birth. The embryonic stage is a period of rapid cellular development. During this time, precursors to almost all of the body organs and structures are formed.
Students will compare the life cycle of a plant to that of an animal in this hands-on activity. It is helpful to use diagrams to show the stages, which often include starting as a seed, egg, or live birth, then growing up and reproducing. The biting female Anopheles mosquito may carry malaria. The puppy stage lasts as long as 1.5 years and then the dog enters its second stage of life ...
A baby goes through several stages of development, beginning as a fertilized egg. The egg develops into a blastocyst, an embryo, then a fetus.
